I graduated from Virginia Tech with my undergraduate degree in History, and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. Since then, I have been a teacher for 11 years, the last 5 of which at Ardrey Kell High School. I have had the privilege to teach a variety of subjects including: U.S. History, American History I, Civics and Economics, American Government, A.P. U.S. History, A.P. Psychology, and A.P. Human Geography. My passion truly is American history, which is good since I have taught that in some form my entire career.
My husband is a teacher as well...actually he's an American History teacher too! You can imagine what our dinner conversations entail- and Jeopardy gets fierce at our house! :) He teaches at Providence High School, but we try not to bring the rivalry home.
In 2014, we were blessed with a beautiful, funny, feisty little girl named Sadie. She makes us laugh everyday.
I entered education because I truly love working with young people and helping them see their potential. We will do many things this year and a lot of them will be challenging- but we will always do them together! Get excited!! Go Knights!!!!
